چکیده
Treatment with antenatal corticosteroids (ACS) to women at risk for preterm birth (PTB) is associated a reduction in adverse neonatal outcomes. Obstetricians occasionally shorten the interval between doses of steroids if delivery predicted occur before ACS are fully administered. In this study we aimed investigate predicting factors identify patients that will deliver prematurely, less than 48 hours from presentation. The computerized medical files all PTBs were reviewed. Maternal demographics, pregnancy and characteristics compared PTB occurred < vs. > triage total, 494 cases included: 302 group (PTB hours) 192 control hours). No significant differences found demographic groups. At presentation, had higher rates uterine contractions (p<0.001) cervical length <25 mm as well rate non-reassuring fetal (NRFHR) monitor (p<0.001). contrast, presented preeclampsia (p=0.003) premature rupture membranes (p=0.038). multivariable analysis All above remained after controlling background confounders. Various presentation can predict <48 hours. These be used whom should shortened. Future prospective studies effect shortening on outcomes.View Large Image Figure ViewerDownload Hi-res image Download (PPT)
